It’s only been a matter of days since the identities of all 20 teams for the 2023/24 LaLiga season have been known but it’s already time to look ahead and start thinking about when it all kicks off again, who’s playing who when and whether Barcelona can retain their title ahead of Real Madrid…and perhaps even one or two others.
The LaLiga season is due to begin on Friday 11 August , with most matches on the opening weekend of the season set to be played on Saturday 12 August and Sunday 13 August. Defending champions Barcelona will begin their LaLiga 2023/24 campaign with an away match against Getafe, while Real Madrid are at Athletic Club. The exact date and time haven’t yet been confirmed.
Will the LaLiga title be on the line on the final day of the season? Let’s hope so. Los Blancos end up with a home match against Real Betis, while La Blaugrana are away to their city rivals Sevilla. Matchday 38 is due to be played on Sunday 26 May 2024.

2021/22 champions Real Madrid, who finished behind their rivals Barcelona in the 2nd position last season, will start their campaign with a tough away day against Athletic Club at San Mamés in Bilbao.
